Ella - Summer in the Woods

My fourth shoot with Ella took us back to the same location as our autumn shoot the previous year. The conditions were good once again. We’ve been so lucky with that. It is always a bit of a gamble when you book a shoot weeks in advance. We started our shoot by the edge of a field where some wild flowers were growing. Ella sat amongst them and I used the flowers in the foreground to create a soft border. We then made our way into the woods where I found this broken tree. It was about 3 feet off the ground and fortunately there was a notch in the stump that Ella could step on and sit on the tree trunk. She was a little nervous as it was moving slightly but it was quite stable. I really like this shot I took of her. The setting is beautiful.
