Rebecca - A New Studio

The beginning of 2017 marked the start of a new era in my photography. I stopped using MeetUp and joined the Purpleport website which is a meeting place for photographers, models and studios. It was there that I found Big Shot Studio in Leighton Buzzard. They often promoted studio days with one model and hourly time slots. Rebecca Tun was the first model I shot there and turning up for the first time was rather daunting. New people and new surroundings. I also didn’t have a plan which is no way to start!

The studio was located in the top floor of a Victorian building and it had a large window which provided beautiful natural light if needed. This is what I chose for my first shoot as I really didn’t know anything about lighting. I went for the easier option. It also allowed me to spend more time shooting instead of waiting for lights to be set up. I enjoyed my first time there and Rebecca was a joy to work with.
