Estrany - Latex

This was my second shoot with Estrany and, as it turned out, it would be my last. The shoot was at Luca Monti’s London studio again and by this time I had become somewhat of a regular there so was very much at ease with the whole set up. Estrany was painted in latex which covered most of her body although for obvious reasons her pubic hair was left as it was. I can imagine it would be really painful trying to remove latex from there! Some gold foil was then applied. Like a few times before, this shoot was a group one with around 9 photographers getting just a few minutes with the model. Looking at the photographs I took there were only 69 to choose from so it was a short session indeed.

Later in the year I had booked another shoot with Estrany but she cancelled for some reason. Another opportunity came again weeks later but this time the shoot was cancelled by Luca because of the eruption of Mount Etna in Italy which killed some of his family. This meant he had to drop everything and go back home. I was disappointed but completely understood the situation. A while after this, Estrany quit modelling so I never got to shoot with her again. What a great loss. She had such a presence and looked different every time you saw her. A photographer’s dream.
